THE.DAISY.ANTHESIS Signs With DIMINISHED FIFTH RECORDS
January 5, 2010Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada-based extreme metal act THE.DAISY.ANTHESIS has inked a deal with Diminished Fifth Records. The band's full-length debut, "Surface and the Sky", is scheduled for release in March.
"It is an absolute honour to be able to work with so many great bands and to help showcase them across North America and beyond," commented Diminished Fifth label head Josh Hogan. "I've been intrigued by DAISY since they first appeared on our last compilation CD, 'The Music of Artisanship & War: Volume II', in 2008 and cannot wait for everyone to hear the robust, dynamic and well crafted tunes they have assembled for their debut album."
Added THE.DAISY.ANTHESIS' Scott "Stooly" Miller: "We're really excited to be working with Diminished Fifth Records for our debut album. It's nice to work with someone who believes in us as much as we do.
"'Surface and the Sky' was recorded at The Recordio Studium and was done 100% on our own, so we feel very strongly about our final product and we're pumped that we have Diminished Fifth Records to get it the attention it deserves."

Originally formed as an acoustic duo comprising guitarist Scott "Stooly" Miller and bassist Scott Lilly, THE.DAISY.ANTHESIS has undergone dramatic changes since its inception in 2004. With the addition of Andrew Martin on drums, the New Brunswick trio cultivated its sound, shifting into the depths of death metal and grindcore without ever losing its artistic merit. The end result is the sound of whispering melodies, groove-filled metal riffs and chaotic noise.
